Echinacold Echinacea Cold & Immunity Supplement

Each tablet contains:

• Echinacea purpurea Extract 300mg
• Piper betle Extract 20mg
• Piper nigrum Extract 20mg
• Zingiber officinale Extract 20mg
• Solanum indicum Extract 20mg

Echinacea purpurea is a traditional herbal ingredient cultivated in Shan State, Myanmar, used for natural immunity, anti-inflammatory and antiallergy support.

Pharmacological Actions

• Immunostimulating effect: Supports the non-specific immune system and phagocytosis. Echinacea polysaccharides may activate macrophage activity and help limit the spread of infectious agents.
• Antiviral effect: Provides short-term viral resistance and may inhibit inflammatory cytokines associated with respiratory viruses.
• Anti-inflammatory effect: Echinacea constituents may inhibit cyclooxygenase and 5-lipoxygenase pathways.

Indications

• Prevention and treatment of common cold
• Recurrent upper respiratory tract infections
• Bronchitis and cough

Dosage

• 5–12 years — one tablet two times daily
• 12 years and above — two tablets two times daily for 7–14 days after meal

Side Effects

Allergic reactions have been reported but are extremely rare and usually mild. A temporary tingling sensation on the tongue may occur.

Contraindications

• Autoimmune diseases, collagen diseases and multiple sclerosis
• Do not exceed 8 successive weeks of use
• Not suitable for use in tuberculosis or AIDS as an immunoenhancement purpose
• Children under 2 years, pregnancy and lactation

Combination Therapy & Cautions

Use caution when combining with immunosuppressant medicines such as corticosteroids, cyclosporine, amiodarone, methotrexate and ketoconazole.
