Appletec® Quercetin Supplement

Each tablet contains Quercetin from apple extract and Sophora japonica extract 100mg.

Pharmacological Actions

1. Antioxidant Properties

As a potent antioxidant, quercetin helps reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. It prevents free radicals from oxidizing LDL (bad cholesterol), has a positive effect on dangerous excess iron, and slows the buildup of abnormal sticky platelets in the bloodstream. Flavonoid intake decreases mortality from coronary heart disease and decreases the incidence of first heart attack.

2. Anti-inflammatory Properties

Quercetin's anti-inflammatory activity is due to inhibitory effects on inflammation-producing enzymes (cyclooxygenase, lipooxygenase) and subsequent inhibition of inflammatory mediators including leukotrienes and prostaglandins. Also inhibits histamine release by mast cells and basophils. Useful in allergies, asthma and hay fever.

3. Anti-tumor Properties

Quercetin has demonstrated significant antitumor activity against a wide range of cancers including squamous cell carcinoma, leukemia, and cancers of the breast, ovaries, colon, prostate, rectum and brain.

For prevention of:

• Ischemic heart disease
• Arthritis and a variety of inflammation
• Tumor formation

Dosage

12 years and above — one tablet two times daily, half an hour before meal
