Each tablet contains natural plant extracts rich in antioxidants for eyes, especially lutein and zeaxanthin:

Phytochemistry

Lutein and zeaxanthin are members of the natural carotenoid family (xanthophylls class / oxycarotenoids). They are natural fat-soluble yellowish pigments found in algae, photosynthetic bacteria and plants such as pumpkin, okra, guava and marigold flower.

Promotion Effects on Eye Health

Lutein and zeaxanthin accumulate mainly in the macula of the retina, where they bind to retinal protein tuberlin. Zeaxanthin is concentrated specifically in the fovea; lutein is distributed throughout the retina. They serve as accessory light-gathering pigments, protect against UV radiation and oxygen toxicity, filter harmful blue light and quench free radicals that damage the macula — the part of the eye responsible for sharp and detailed vision.

With advancing age, concentrations of these carotenoids decline, leaving eyes susceptible to age-related disorders including glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and cataract formation. Lutein is not manufactured in the body and must be obtained through diet or supplementation.

Dosage
