Immugin® Panax Ginseng Supplement

Each capsule contains Panax ginseng Powder 250mg.

Phytochemical Constituents

Ginseng contains at least 13 different triterpenoid saponins collectively known as ginsenosides — the most important active constituents used as quality control markers. Usual ginsenoside concentration is 2–3%. Ginseng polysaccharides show antitumor effects through modulation of innate immunity.

Pharmacological Actions

Dosage

Drug Interactions

• Anticoagulant therapy: possible interaction with warfarin — omit ginseng during anticoagulant therapy
• MAOI: Ginseng may potentiate MAOI action by inhibiting various neurotransmitters

Precautions

• Discontinue one week before major surgery
• Avoid in acute asthma, signs of heat, excessive menstruation or nosebleeds
• Do not take with stimulants such as caffeine

Side Effects

Well tolerated in recommended dose. Allergic reactions can occur in sensitive individuals. High dose or long-term use may cause nervousness.
