Each capsule contains extracts of:
- Tinospora cordifolia Stem 1.5g
- Willow Bark (Salix alba & Salix tetrasperma) 0.3g
Pharmacological Actions
1. Inflammation & Pain
Tinospora cordifolia: Active principles syringin and cordiol have potent anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic activities. Inhibits C3 convertase and serine protease. Significantly reduces pain and morning stiffness in rheumatoid arthritis. Also reduces bursitis, tendinitis, gout, stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, hepatitis, nephritis and cystitis.
Willow Bark: Active phenolic glycosides (salicin, salicortin, tremulactin) are prodrugs converted to salicylic acid in the intestinal tract and liver. Selectively reduces prostaglandin E2 production by COX-2 in inflamed tissues. Inhibits LPS-induced cytokine release (TNF-α and IL-6) in human monocytes, preventing cartilage damage.
2. Rejuvenation
Direct destructive action on free radicals and increases levels of glutathione and Vitamin C — two of the most important antioxidants. Long history of use for anti-aging and longevity.
